A homemade natural insect-repellent body cream made by blending essential oils into a base lotion, perfect for keeping bugs away while moisturizing your skin.
Yields 1 Serving Quarter (0.25 Servings) Half (0.5 Servings) Default (1 Serving) Double (2 Servings) Triple (3 Servings)
1 E45 body cream or Citronella body cream (e.g. from Dischem) used as the base
10 drops Citronella essential oil
10 drops Lavender essential oil
10 drops Tea tree essential oil
10 drops Basil essential oil
10 drops Clove essential oil
10 drops Peppermint essential oil
10 drops Dettol
1 Get a container of E45 body cream, or buy a container of Citronella cream, for example from Dischem.
2 Mix drops of citronella, lavender, tea tree, basil, clove, peppermint, and Dettol into the cream.
3 Stir well to combine all the oils evenly throughout the cream.
